Rescuers are still trying to get the body of a worker out of the Chiatura mine. The body is under the ruins of the tunnel. Rocks are so big that rescuers demolish them with perforators.

Levan Abramishvili, the Head of Public Relations Department of " Georgian Marganets" says that the accident occurred at dawn. Levan Abramishvili refrains from any assessment till the conclusion of the examination.

A tunnel was damaged at Shukruti mine and 45-year-old Zaza Abramishvili fell under the fire this morning.

" Work should not be carried out there. As the miners say, this mine was damaged and closed. I do not know why they have opened it, who has ordered,"- said Tamaz Dolaberidze, the Deputy Chairman of the Association of Georgian Trade Unions.

Dolaberidze noted that he has addressed Nikoloz Chikovani, a special manager of "Georgian Manganets" to provide the research commission with a technical inspector.

The investigation was launched under the article 240 of the Criminal Code.
