The central road has been blocked up to Mestia - locals protest against the construction of Mestia-Chala HPP and did not allow special equipment to be transferred to construction site. They demand to bring back to the construction site of the specialist and claim that the government has cheated them and a large HPP is being built instead of a small HPP.

Kakhaber Sabanadze, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs met with participants of the rally several times during the night together with the head of the regional police, but in vain. If the authorities use the Special Forces, the locals predict the disorder in Svaneti.
