The occupied territories of Georgia and the government"s peace plan - these were the main topics of the State Minister"s Report at NATO Parliamentary Assembly Seminar in Batumi.
State Minister for Reconciliation and Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili spoke about three main directions of peacekeeping package, among which are access to trade and education.
"The most important initiatives of the peacekeeping package are three main directions that contain many innovations. The first concerns the promotion of trade along the dividing lines. The second important direction concerns the expansion of education opportunities both within the country and abroad. This echoes the interest of the younger generation because education and quality education are the prerequisites for having a better future. Third is the expansion of access to various services, including status neutral mechanisms, "-Ketevan Tsikhelashvili said.
Three-day seminar was opened today. Participants will discuss Georgia"s Euro-Atlantic integration and security in the Black Sea region.
