Fire in Sakire forest - localization of fire is not yet possible

The forest fire in the village of Sakire in Borjomi district can not be localized yet. The fire broke out yesterday evening, the reason is unknown yet.

About half a hectare of forest area is destroyed. All night the fire rescue crews were mobilized, 30 firefighters were trying to localize the fire.

Due to the complex relief of the area, it was necessary to call additional force from Tbilisi.

According to the Emergency Management Service, there is no danger of fire spreading.
