Trees were cut late at night on former Hippodrome territory

Partisan gardeners are protesting against cutting trees on the former territory of the Hippodrome. Members of the non-governmental organization visited the area late last night, when the tiee cutting process was underway.

The cutting of trees is related to construction of an overpass linking Tsintsadze-Kartozia streets. According to the City Hall, the cutting of trees during construction was inevitable. The capital city hall promises to plant 140 new trees on this territory.

The activists demand the meeting with the Mayor of Tbilisi.
