68 citizens of Georgia were expelled from Germany. The special operation was held yesterday evening. Citizens of Georgia were transferred from different cities to Dusseldorf, from where they were sent to Tbilisi. Some of them have been living in Germany and other EU countries for years, however, most of them have gone to ask for the shelter after a visa free regime was launched. They were demanding shelter in EU countries on the grounds of economic hardship, but after several months of discussion they were refused. Most of the deportees left the airport without any comment.
"The main motive is economic hardship, hence, they are asking for asylum ," said Irma Tsiramua, the observer of the monitoring agency "Frontier".
