The Constitutional Court recognized as unconstitutional the fact that only the Orthodox Church receives state owned property and is exempt from VAT

In the suit, the subject of the dispute was the norm of the Georgian law on state property, which granted the Georgian Orthodox Church the right to receive state property for free.
The Parliament of Georgia represented the respondent side in the case. NGO sector welcomes court decision.
