No to violence, HPS mania and flooding -solidarity action under this slogan is planned at the government administration today.

The action was planned by social network and its organizer is a civil sector.

Participants will start gathering at the Chancellery from 18:30.

Representatives of environmentalists and NGOs talk about attempts to intimidate local population in Svaneti.

They argue that high-ranking officials may be involved in illegal ltimber cutting.

"We saw the maximum concentration of police force and special forces in these villages, which obviously raises the question marks. How proportionate and necessary it was tto reveal these crimes. To work on this problem, the state should begin with alternative social and economic development opportunities for local population, "said Tamta Mikeladze, representative of Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center.
