The High Council of Justice has announced a new, open competition for the selection of judges. In various courts, at this time, 43 vacancies are announced for the position of a judge.

Applicants will be able to submit their applications to the Board from 6 August to 26 August.

This competition does not apply to the lifetime appointment process of judges and the appointment of judges will be done according to the first rule.

Part of the board members think that the decision is delayed.

"The problem is that the competition is not announced on time which causes the delay And naturally, it finally affects the timeframes of the proceedings , "said Nazi Janezashvili, member of the High Council of Justice of Georgia.
