The Patriarchate"s initiative to abolish the Constitutional Court has supporters in the ruling team. Guguli Maghradze is one of those MPs. According to her, if the court continued to make similar decisions, such as marijuana decriminalization, the majority may begin to discuss certain amendments.
The opposition thinks that the referendum on the abolishing of the Constitutional Court is not serious.
"The Constitutional Court is an important institution for the development of democracy and a very important institution for a democratic state," said Sergo Ratiani, a member of "European Georgia".

The UNM does not agree with the request for the abolishment of the Constitutional Court.
