The Georgian Dream will not participate in the presidential election - the decision was announced after a 2-hour meeting held at the party office, which was attended by the Georgian Dream chairman, Bidzina Ivanishvili.

The ruling party explains this decision on the grounds of democracy development.

The Georgian Dream claims that the team is unanimous in the decision, however, they do not hide that there is no uniform position where the voices of the dream will go and whether the ruling party will support any other candidate.

Despite the fact that everyone knows about political deal between the Georgian Dream and Salome Zurabichvili, the ruling team insists that the CEC is waiting for the registration of candidates. The announcement will be made after the announcement of all candidates participating in the presidential election.
