The United States reiterates strong support for Georgia"s territorial integrity. The statement was made by Elizabeth Rud, the acting ambassador of the United States of America.

She said that the United States is working with Georgia to finally resolve this conflict.

"Today is the tenth anniversary of the Russia-Georgia war that killed hundreds of people and injured thousands of people. We have tens of thousands of internally displaced persons who still have no opportunity to return and are still suffering from the consequences of war. After this war 20 percent of the territory of Georgia is occupied and this is really a sad situation. The United States strongly supports Georgia"s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders. We are committed to working with Georgia to finally resolve this conflict , "- Elizabeth Rudd said.
