The lawyers of Archpriest Giorgi Mamaladze have applied to the President of Georgia with the pardon request.

They submitted their applications to the President"s Administration today. In parallel, attorneys plan to continue the dispute in the Strasbourg Court.

According to the lawyer Mikheil Ramishvili, the Archpriest is illegally detained. Ashe says the appeal of the pardon does not mean that Giorgi Mamaladze pleas guilty.

"The only bright spot now is the president"s institution because there is no justice in Georgia. It is confirmed by the Supreme Court," Ramishvili says.

This is the second pardon request.
Presumably, the Pardon Commission will consider their application at the next session.
