Authorization of Black Sea International University was suspended. The university will not be able to receive students for the next year. The Administration of the University does not agree with the Council"s decision.

The reason for suspension of authorization is 700 000 GEL fine, which the university has imposed and the dispute continues in court.

"The Council"s position is groundless and unfair for the following reasons: First- Real Estate and other assets owned by the International Black Sea University cost much more than 700 000 GEL, and secondly, the decision made by the Authorization Board reduces the revenue of the university by 2 million GEL. The question is whether it is adequate to undermine the university"s income when the Council believes that the main problem of the University is material instability?"- reads the statement.
