Georgian Dream gives green light to marijuana business church opposes the government

The Georgian Orthodox Church opposes "Georgian Dream" - the reason is the initiative on the cultivation of marijuana.

The Archbishop of the Patriarch gave an ultimatum to the government. If the government refuses to cultivate marijuana, then the Patriarchate will confront it. Archbishop Jacob accused the Georgian Dream of betraying the homeland.

A conference was held in the Patriarchate on drug policy, which was attended by representatives of the legislative body. The meeting turned into debates, after the representative of the Interior Ministry made a speech and said that the marijuana plantations have zero risk.

At the conference, Bishop Melkiseedeki also opposed the government. A member of the Holy Synod imposed responsibility on the legalization of marijuana consumption and cultivation on the Constitutional Court.
