Salome Zurabishvili met with supporters in Akhaltsikhe and emphasized the issue of granting citizenship.

The Georgian Dream-backed presidential candidate reminded voters gathered in Akhaltsikhe how she was granted citizenship of Georgia by President Saakashvili.

Today"s meeting was just like in all regions was accompanied with a noisy protest . Part of the local population met Zurabishvili with shouting "traitor".

"The president granted me the citizenship on his will, i.e., the previous president, whom I do not mention him at all, I call him a snake. He was granting the citizenship to some Turkish citizens who arrived in Batumi but had no relation with Georgia. The present president refuses often and nobody knows what the criteria are based on, "Zurabishvili said.
