"Irakli Kobakhidze does not understand the meaninf of fascism," - the chairperson of the NGO "Georgian Democratic Initiative" Giorgi Mshvenieradze responds to the statement of the Chairman of the Parliament where Irakli Kobakhidze blamed the third sector representatives for fascism.

According to Mshvenieradze, the government criticizes the third sector instead of investigating serious crimes. According to him, it is unfortunate when Kobakhidze himself does not understand the meaning of fascism, because he is one of the members of the ruling team, which systematically supports decisions of the party and does not take into account the minority positions.

"We always have a strict reaction to this and we have had such reaction to the recent scandalous facts, which confirm once again informal rule in the country and prove that there are people who are not punished for serious crimes and unfortunately the government has no adequate answers. An adequate response would be to conduct an effective investigation by the parliamentarians, instead attacks on the NGOs," said Mshvenieradze.
