Another high-profile murder case from which the main evidence has disappeared. Video footage depicting murder of 26-year-old Luka Paliani has been removed from the case in Mestia.

The family suspects that the Prosecutor"s Office has intentionally destroyed the evidence and the government protects the defendants . The family threatens to kill the defendants according to the Svaneti tradition. Ss the family member say, the government"s inactivity has led to radical steps.

The father of Luka Paliani says that the murderers should be punished, or the family will take care of this case.

Luka Faliani was killed in Mestia in the summer. The MIA has detained one person, while the family claims that five other participants were involved in the murder.
