According to the results of the laboratory examination obtained from abroad, Ivane Merabishvili"s intoxication with heavy metal is ruled out - A special Penitentiary Department releases a statement.

According to the Department, since the defence side constantly applies that convict Merabishvili"s diagnosis - the syndrome of the Horner may be the result of intoxication, Ivane Merabishvili has been consulted by the toxicologists at "Mediclab Georgia".

"The material was sent for research to Germany, and the results show that all metallic and molecular concentrations are in the blood within the norm.

"On the basis of the results received on October 12, the convention of toxicologists was held and it was concluded that Ivane Merabishvili does not need any additional examination in the toxicological direction."
