The use of administrative resources, the involvement of senior government officials in the pre-election campaign and unequal finances - this is an incomplete list of remarks that have been made by the most authoritative observation missions in Georgia.

The OSCE, EU, NATO and the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assemblies have had many formulation of acute remarks regarding the elections. Observers say the situation is worsening compared to the 2013 presidential election.

The sharp criticism of European observers has lresulted from the attacks on the third sector in the pre-election period. The fact that the government called NGOs fascist shocked international observers.
