Whether Georgia will support the autocephaly of the Ukrainian Church, Georgia will make a final decision today.
The opinion of the hierarchs is split. Part of the believes that a 50= million state must have their own autocephaly if they wish, Others do not share this idea. Today, the Synod members should discuss the issue of possible suspension of the right to conduct activities as a priest for Father Giorgi Mamaladze. The Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia, Ilia II will chair the session which will start at 12:00.
