Clan governance in the judiciary - NGOs, former judges and attorneys unite to solve problems

NGOs, former judges and attorneys have united to solve the problems in the judiciary system. Their participation was initiated by the initiative group, which plans to carry out various activities in the nearest future. It is also about the protests, the main demand of which will be recalling the list of candidates for the judges from the Parliament.
" We will use all forms, meetings and talks with MPs, international organizations and demonstrations are not excluded. Without some political support, this group would not dare to say so much for me and I once again say that when we speak about clans, it is not just a judiciary. Its part is in the parliament, part in the prosecutor"s office and in various departments, "said the former judge, chairman of the NGO" Justice Development Center "Mamuka Akhvlediani.
The lawyers say that it is necessary to improve the system and protect it from clan management.
"It is necessary to take radical steps to save the court within the limits prescribed by law. We agree that we will start, expand, and try to get as many people as possible in this process, "- said GYLA Chairman Sulkhan Saladze.
