Irakli Kobakhidze meets the secretary of the High Council of Justice

Irakli Kobakhidze, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia is meeting with Giorgi Mikautadze, the Secretary of the High Council of Justice.
The meeting started in the parliament building several minutes ago.
We would like to remind you that the 10-member list of the judiges for the Supreme Court of Georgia, which was submitted to the Parliament by the High Council of Justice caused controversy in the ruling team.
At the end of December the discussion of the issue was postponed, however, the Chairman of the Parliament and his team made statements supporting the Council of Justice.
A few days ago, Bidzina Ivanishvili, the chairman of the Georgian Dream, released a statement saying that decisions regarding judges will be based on a wide range of discussions in which the stakeholders will be involved.
