The civil sector is assessing the developments around the TBC Bank as a tendency to capture the state.
Representatives of influential NGOs say that this is confirmed by the fact that none of the important cases have been investigated that are in "Georgian Dream`s" interests.
"There is a tendency in Georgia of state capture and the state is being captured exactly when the population and the society have no feeling that we have independent institutions. Chief Prosecutor is a personal attorney of Bidzina Ivanishvili. Nobody has expectation that the investigative agencies will have adequate response to this statement, "- said Eka Gigauri, executive director of Transparency International Georgia.
According to experts, based on the statement of the prosecutor"s office there is doubt that the case will be properly investigated.
"There is often a feeling that state institutions serve not the state, butsome interest groups," said Gia Khukhashvili.
Representatives of NGOs talk about the targeted attack against the TBC Bank and assign full responsibility to the leader of the "Georgian Dream" Bidzina Ivanishvili.
