Irakli Kobakhidze is going to introduce the draft law prepared by the majority on the appointment of the Supreme Court judges to the diplomatic corps and non-governmental organizations, but non-governmental organizations will not attend the meeting. The third sector representatives think that the chairperson of the parliament does not take note of their critical opinions and supports clan rule.
Organizations in the Coalition for Independent and Transparent Judiciary explain that there are 5 principal issues that Irakli Kobakhidze disagrees with. Among them are conflicts of interest, method of decision making by the High Council of Justice and the rule of selection of judges.
GYLA Chairman Sulkhan Saladze says that their participation in this process will be fruitless.
Giorgi Mshvenieradze says that Irakli Kobakhidze has become a lobbyist of Chinchaladze-Murusidze clan himself.
