"Georgia"s Democratic Initiative" demands to recognize citizens" inclusion in the pension system as unconstitutional. At the initial session, the applicants will submit the arguments about the violation not only of the employees but also the violations of employers" right to property.
The authors of the suit are hoping that the Constitutional Court will take up the case for a review.
"The state does not have the right to decide how to treat our property better. As for the appeal of the employers, we think that this 2% is the burden for employers, which violates the employer"s right, "said Eduard Marikashvili, director of the Strategic Proceedings Program of Georgia"s Democratic Initiative.
