The date of midterm elections in Tbilisi, Mtatsminda district is known - by the decision of the CEC, the elections will be held on May 19.
The need for holding midterm elections has come obvious since Salome Zourabichvili has become a president and left the position of the majoritarian MP. Therefore this district does not have a representative in the parliament.
Only one candidate is known at this stage. Shalva Shavgulidze, the chairman of the party, will be a candidate from "Free Democrats".
