Mtskheta General Plan Tender has been completed. The winner became one of the partnerships that comprises 8 project organizations.The partnership should present Mtskheta development project by the end of the year, after which the construction process will be renewed.
Any type of construction, including private property, has been suspended since 2015 in Mtskheta due to the non-existence of a general plan that created problems for the population.
"There are 8 groups and each group will develop documentation necessary for Mtskheta as well as development of recreational spaces, development of Mtskheta in terms of transportation,"-said the chairperson of the association "Akolis".
The members of the government introduced the plan to the locals today.
First Deputy Minister of Culture and Sport Mikheil Giorgadze talked about the need for transparency and publicity of the process.
"General Plan is a very complex and very complicated document, which we hope very much will be completed by the end of the year. The main principles on which we talked today are transparency, publicity and maximum involvement in the process, involvement of the representatives of the professional sphere as well as the involvement of the local population, "said Mikheil Giorgadze.
