The alarming situation in the Georgian churches of Tao-Klarjeti - the toilet is being built in the famous Georgian cathedral of the X century - Doliskana !
Buba Kudava, the historian, has released information on his Facebook page.
Kudava writes that the pits have already been dug in the cathedral gateway lined with pipes.
"There are a lot of facts about the damage to historical monuments (caused by ignorance or deliberately), but there was a tendency that similar facts have been decreased in recent decades, which is now happening is almost unbelievable!"
This is the 21st century and the historical and cultural significance of the Tao-Klarjeti monuments has long been understood by our Turkish colleagues and relevant agencies of our neighboring country.I hope the works will be suspended immediately.
"I have talked about it with the Embassy of Georgia in Turkey, and I spoke with Mr. Gia Janjghava, Ambassador of Georgia,and I am sure that he will not spare the effort to resolve the issue," Kudava said in a post on Social Network
