May 17 - MIA calls on organizers and participants to protect the law

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia calls upon organizers and participants of the event to protect the law on the day of the purity of the family. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has released a statement regarding the various actions planned for May 17. According to the statement, protection of human rights is one of the main priorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the police provide protection of public safety and the order, as well as freedom of expression of each person, who does not go beyond the laws.

“According to our information, various actions will be held on May 17, 2019 in Tbilisi. The police provide the protection of public safety and the order, as well as the freedom of expression of every person who does not go beyond the law. The Ministry calls on the organizers and participants of the events to protect the law. Otherwise, the police officers will act within their mandate. Each fact of offense will be immediately prevented, "the statement reads.
