Salome Zourabichvili left St. Nino"s path. The procession which started today at the festival of Nino is presided by the president. The parish and the clergy begin the 42-day procession with prayers. The procession will be finished on July 12 in Mtskheta.
According to Salome Zourabichvili, she will follow the road until she is able to do it. The President of Georgia accompanies St. Nino"s Cross.
"I want to congratulate absolutely all Georgia and everyone on St. Nino Day. This is a very important day. Nino came to Georgia about 1700 years ago and after that Georgia has been transformed, Georgia has been converted and this grace will continue,, "Salome Zourabichvili said.
The Prime Minister of Georgia and the members of the Government take part in the procession. Mamuka Bakhtadze congratulated the population on St. Nino"s holiday.
"I want to congratulate you today. This is a happy day. 1700 years ago St. Nino came to this Holy Land with the cross made of the vine and began to move on to Kartli. It was an epochal day for the Georgian state, "Mamuka Bakhtadze said.
