Nazi Janezashvili, the non-judge of the High Council of Justice, demands to dismiss Giorgi Mikautadze from the Supreme Court"s jury competition.
According to Janezashvili, Mikautadze does not meet the formal criteria. The case concerns the incomplete filling of applications by the applicants for the position of judges of the Supreme Court. Besides Mikautadze, the non-judge member states that judge Tamar Oniani does not meet the criteria and should not participate in the selection process. There is a conflict of interest, one of the contestants is a brother-in-law of Oniani.
Nazi Janezashvili will raise both issues at today"s sitting of the High Council of Justice.
"Giorgi Mikautadze cannot meet formal criteria because the application is not complete and the law requires that the application be submitted completely filled out, "said Janezashvili.
