Representatives of the third sector respond to a refusal of the new owner of Rustavi 2 to create the Public Council in Rustavi 2. The council should be staffed with representatives of NGOs and media experts. But at the meeting with the journalists, the new Director-General of the channel, Paata Salia, said that the idea of creating the council was not supported and urged journalists to take his word for it.

Lasha Tugushi, the Director of Liberal Academy Tbilisi says that additional guarantees are needed that the editorial policy will be protected.
