The Vice Premier blames the opposition for the devaluation of Lari. According to Maia Tskitishvili, the government is doing its best to promote business and infrastructure development.
According to Tskitishvili, the actions of the "United National Movement" and other radical groups reflected on the exchange rate of national currency. Maia Tskitishchil also criticizes experts who dislike the economic moves of the government.
"GEL needs political stability first. The reason for the devaluation is the rallies of June 20. We see that the course of GEL began to deteriorate from this period. Political processes, coup attempts, Political destabilization, insulting phrases from the broadcasting companies and sanctions on tourism, all those processes resulted in the devaluation of the GEL. We support all programs to create opportunities for people to sell products, attract tourists, build hotels and bring foreign currency into our economy and thus strengthen the GEL. "United National Movement" and the political forces associated with it are doing everything to hinder this process," - Maia Tskitishvili said.
