"Of course, this a primitive question was initiated by United National Movement - is Putin an enemy?" - Mamuka Mdinaradze

Hundreds killed and tens of thousands displaced - 11 years have passed since the August war.

The ceasefire was violated in the so-called Tskhinvali conflict zone in late July 2008. On the evening of August 7 Russian troops first entered Georgia through the Roki Tunnel. Hundreds of people died as a result of the five-day war and thousands of our compatriots were displaced in their own homeland. The large-scale Russian military intervention ended with the eventual occupation of the Tskhinvali region and Abkhazia.

After 11 years , the Georgian authorities still find it difficult to name Vladimir Putin and admit that Putin is an enemy and occupier. Leaders of the parliamentary majority say the opposition is speculating on the issue.

" This is not a serious and patriotic approach to the homeland and the interests of our country. We need unity. We need a very high level of self-awareness to realize that the territorial integrity, heroism of our soldiers and their fate in this war is not an issue that can be the subject of different interpretations, "said Archil Talakvadze.

Mamuka Mdinaradze believes that when the ruling team talks about occupier and enemy Russia, they mean Putin as well.

"Of course, this a primitive question was initiated by United National Movement - is Putin an enemy? you"re asking about the head of the occupant country if he is the enemy?"- said Mdinaradze.

Irakli Sesiashvili says Putin, Medvedev and all those who do not recognize Georgia"s territorial integrity are enemies.
