The Prosecutor General"s Office has denied the Ombudsman"s access to the case of allegedly abusive member of the City Council Ilia Jishkariani.

According to the Prosecutor"s Office they cannot make the case known to the representative of the Public Defender"s Office before making a final decision.

At the same time, the Prosecutor"s Office expresses its readiness to continue to support the Public Defender"s activities under the law.
