Georgia’s Defense and Security Conference is a good opportunity to talk about Georgia’s progress towards Euro-Atlantic integration, said US Charge d’Affairs Elizabeth Rood.
According to her, Georgia has an ambitious program of modernization in the defense and security fields and the US support strengthening of Georgia’s institutions.
“Georgia has an ambitious program of modernization in the defense and security fields, the modernization of its defense forces, and the continuation of the support Georgia receives from the US and allies through the substantial NATO-Georgia package, the US cooperation in the form of Georgia Defence Readiness Program, the recurring exercises, such as Noble Partner and Agile Spirit, through which Georgia becomes an even stronger partner and contributor to the NATO Alliance”, - said Rood.
