According to the Chairman of the Parliament, there is no agreement in the ruling team on Dimitri Khundadze’s initiative about the transition to the full majoritarian system. This is only the initiative of some MPs.

"There is no agreed position within the team regarding the majoritarian system. As Mr. Khundadze said, this is the initiative and position of the majoritarians, who unfortunately did not support the transition to the proportional system.

They have the right to have their own position. But initiating such a process in the legislative context is legally prescribed, and without these rules it is impossible to launch such an initiative. There is no such agreement in the team”, - explained Archil Talakvadze.
