A confrontation took place between the ninth graders and the eighth graders at Tbilisi Public School #116.

The pupils clashed during the break. One of them stubbed the other with a writing pen in the leg.

There have been reports of the use of knives, but the school principal has denied this.

Police were called to the school.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, investigation is in progress under the Article 120 of the Criminal Code, which involves deliberate minor body injury.
