In January-November 2019 exports increased by 10% - National Wine Agency

According to the National Wine Agency, in January-November 2019, 86 million bottles (0.75 liters) of wine were exported in 53 countries. It means that export increased by 10%, compare with 2018. The value of exported wine reaches USD 220 million, which is 20% more than in 2018.

323 companies exported Georgian wine in the last 11 months of 2019.

The other top wine export countries are: Lithuania – 48% (653,322 bottles), Germany – 40% (615,723 bottles), Belarus – 68% (2,505,617 bottles), Israel – 81% (287,023 bottles), Estonia – 27% (648,884 bottles), Russia – 11% (53,964,172 bottles), Moldova – 8,551% (612,524 bottles), Netherlands – 22% (612,524 bottles), Czech Republic – 17% (67,584 bottles), Bulgaria – 23% (32,934 bottles), Mongolia – 5% (224,652 bottles).

Besides, export of wine has increased to strategic markets: Poland – 24% increase (3,746,092 bottles), China – 1% (6,323,463 bottles) and USA – 48% (660,874 bottles).

Also, Georgia exported 585,000 bottles of Chacha (+63%) in 28 countries. The total income from Chacha export have reached $1,6 million (+56%) in the last 11 months of 2019
