The Minister of Justice Tea Tsulukiani thinks that everyone has a freedom of expression in the country and that the MP of the City Council should not resign.

The case concerns the Facebook posts of Erekle Kukhianidze, a Tbilisi City Council member from Georgian Dream. He accused detained doctor Vazha Gaprindashvili in provocation.

“Emotional or political statements hurt primarily the interest of the prisoner, whose release is our top priority. From the very first hour of detention, government agencies are mobilized and unprecedented efforts are being made. But I do not think that anyone should resign. We all have the right to express our opinion. Even if it is shocking”, - said Tea Tsulukiani.
