Leader of the anti-occupation movement Power is in Unity Davit Katsarava, who frequently patrolls the occupation line, has been charged with violence for an incident that took place in the summer of 2019. 
On August 20 Katsarava had a clash with several locals of the villae of Khurvaleti, who accused him of staging provocations. Katsarava also suffered minor injuries due to the incident and was hospitalized.
According to him the case is “politically motivated” and the Government is trying to hamper his activities against the Russian-occupation of Georgian territories. 
If the charge is confirmed, Katsarava will have to pay a fine or be subjected to 120-180 hour community work. He may also be subjected to up to 1 year home arrest or up to 1 year imprisonment.
