Luka Siradze’s case – investigator Mariana Choloiani sent to pretrial custody

The Investigator, charged with obtaining forced confession from 15-year-old teenager, sent to pretrial custody.

Mariana Choloiani was charged at Caucasus Medical Center, where the she was hospitalized after detention.

The crime is punishable by five to nine years in prison.
Prosecutor’s Office announced earlier that while questioning the minor, she did not follow the Juvenile Justice Code of Georgia and instead forced him to plead guilty.
15-year-old Luka Siradze, who tried suicide after being questioned in the police unit on December 10-11, died at Tbilisi’s Iashvili Children’s Hospital on December 17. The minor was interrogated within the investigation into the fact of offensive graffiti in the territory of one of Tbilisi’s schools.
