Giga Bokeria, the leader of European Georgia, said the ruling party’s proposal to change the electoral system was not a real step towards resolving the crisis. Bokeria says if the Government does not take real steps, protests will continue inside the country. At the same time, the international isolation of the ruling team will deepen:

“They are making some maneuvers, but it’s not serious. But it does show that they are slowly realizing how difficult is the situation. They need to make the real move. This is not a real step. If they do not realize this, the protest inside the country will continue and international isolation will deepen”, - said Giga Bokeria.

Ruling party proposed to hold the next elections through a mixed electoral system, in which 100 MPs will be elected through proportional and 50 through a majoritarian system.
