Vakhtang Gomelauri visited the wounded patrol – inspector

Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia visited the wounded patrol-inspector in Batumi. Vakhtang Gomelauri received the information regarding the health condition of patrol-inspector Otar Tavartkiladze directly from the doctors.

After visiting the wounded police officer, Minister of Internal Affairs met with his partner, Avtandil Mzhavanadze at Adjara Police Department building.

Vakhtang Gomelauri expressed his gratitude towards the patrol police officer for the professionalism demonstrated by him during the incident.

On December18, a civilian stopped patrol crew members – Otar Tavartkiladze and Avtandil Mzhavanadze in Batumi and stabbed patrol-inspector Otar Tavartkilaze unexpectedly with a cold steel. Partner of the wounded patrol police officer managed to detain the attacker at the scene. During detention the offender inflicted minor injury in leg area to Mzhavanadze as well.
