Erekle Kukhianidze, the Head of Environment Protection Commission, has been forced out of office. The voting was held at the Tbilisi City Assembly.

Kukhianidze arrived at the meeting along with his daughter and made a speech, in which he stressed that the decision is immensely difficult for him to accept.

“This decision is extremely hard for me to hear. I reckon that friends should be protected, which is why I will restrain from judging them. This is a political process. They did what they did, but I will not have my mandate suspended as I was appointed by my people, and I still have a lot to do”, - said Kukhianidze.
