Two deputies - Levan Khabeishvili, a member of the National Movement and Giorgi Dokhturishvili, a member of the Georgian Dream - physically confronted each other at the session of the Environmental Commission of the Tbilisi City Assembly.
Khabeishvili demanded form Erekle Kukhianidze, the former Chairperson of the commission, to leave the session. Otherwise, Khabeishvili threatened to disrupt the meeting.
Dokhturishvili asked Khabeishvili to calm down.
Dokhturishvili felt offended by Khabeishvili’s replica. Dochturishvili called Khabeishvili an impolite man, which was followed by a physical altercation.
“Even on October 1, 2012, Giorgi Dokhturishvili was with the posters of the National Movement. Today he is with Georgian Dream. And he was ready to defend Erekle Kukhianidze. Now the meeting of the Commission on Environment Protection is being held together with Erekle Kukhianidze. It will be like this at every session, as long as this man is here”, - said Khabeishvili.
Levan Khabeishvili was pulled out of the session hall.
