Gia Volski, the Deputy Chairperson of the Parliament, commented on Salome Zourabichvili’s statement.
As the President said that relations with Russia Georgia stuck in technical format.
“I don’t think there is anyone who might not want a more effective format of negotiation than 50 meetings that did not have any results. This assessment was very reasonable, but the Geneva format deserves a positive assessment. It was possible to present the issue of Georgia at the international level only through this format. It was already known that the EU could not cross the occupation line through the surveillance mission. It would be more effective for Georgia to sit at the negotiating table in a more sophisticated format with the support of international partners”, - said Gia Volski.
