We call on the de facto authorities to allow the local population to live a fear-free life. Such a statement made US Chargé d’Affaires Elizabeth Rood at the opening ceremony of a rehabilitated public school in the village of Kveshi, Gori district, near the dividing line.
She congratulated the villagers on the opening of the school and thanked the donor organizations for financial assistance.
“The US remains committed to Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. We again urge the de facto authorities to open crossing points on the administrative boundary line and give the local population the opportunity to move freely, receive medical care and live a fear-free life”, - said Elizabeth Rood.
