Levan Izoria said he had quit the position of the Chief of the Intelligence Service of Georgia. According to him, he will continue to serve as the Ambassador of Georgia to Germany.
Izoria explained that the decision was made in December.
“The decision was made in December. The request for agreement has been sent and we expect it in mid- February. It is likely that I will arrive there at the end of February and continue my work as ambassador”, - said Izoria.
Levan Izoaria, who was appointed as the head of the Intelligence Service in September 2019, previously served as the country"s defence minister and as deputy interior minister and deputy head of the State Security Service.
